  Online applications are invited from Indian citizens for the post of Development Assistants and Pharmacists in Group ‘B’ service of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), at its Head Office/Regional Offices. The candidates can apply on NABARD website between 15 March 2011 and 05 April 2011 after carefully going through all the instructions given in this advertisement. No other mode of application will be accepted. Online applications are to be accessed at website www.nabard.org only. No other website or any agency are authorised by NABARD for this purpose.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 01 March 2011)

a) Development Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification from any recognised University or its equivalent grade. Knowledge of operating Computer is essential.

b) Pharmacist: A pass in matriculation or 10th standard of 10+2+3 pattern or an equivalent examination and a Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognised Board or University and should be Registered Pharmacist as required under Section 29 and 30 of the Pharmacy Act 1948. Candidates with previous experience in the field will be preferred. Knowledge of operating Computer is essential

AGE (as on 01 March 2011)
Between 18 years and 26 years (i.e. Applicants must have been born not earlier than 02.03.1985 and not later than 01.03.1993)

RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE LIMIT: Upper age limit is relaxable by -

(a) 03 years in case of eligible OBC applicants and

(b) a maximum of 05 years in case of : (i) Applicants belonging to SC/ST, (ii) Exemployees
of banking institutions whose services had to be terminated for reasons of economy measures or as a result of the bank going into liquidation (iii) personnel retrenched from Govt. Offices after at least one year’s service (iv) Ex-servicemen (including Emergency Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers) provided that the applicants have rendered at least five years continuous Military Service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physical disability or have been released on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service or on invalidment, (v) Emergency Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers who have completed their initial period of assignment of five years of Military Service but whose assignment has been extended beyond five years and in whose case, on selection, the Ministry of Defence issues certificates that they would be released within 03 months from the date of receipt of offer of appointment, (vi) All persons who have ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of J & K State during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 by 5 years. Persons eligible for age relaxation under this criteria must produce, if selected for interview, the domicile certificate from the District Magistrate in the Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction he / she had ordinarily resided or any other authority designated in this regard by Government of Jammu & Kashmir to the effect that the candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of J & K during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989. (vii) Children/family members of victims died in the 1984 riots. (viii) Widows, divorced women & women judicially separated from their husbands, who have not remarried- by 9 years i.e. Maximum Age of 37 years. (ix) Ex-servicemen who fulfill the revised definition as laid down in Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms Notification No.36034/5/85/Estt(SCT) dated 27.10.1986, as amended from time to time, who have put in not less than 6 months continuous service in the Armed Forces shall be allowed the benefit of age relaxation by deducting the length of such service from his actual age and the resultant notional age does not exceed 36 years, subject to his not exceeding the Maximum Age of 50 years. An Ex-Serviceman who has once joined a Government job on the civil side, after availing of the benefits given to him as an Ex- Serviceman for his e-employment, his Ex-Serviceman status for the purpose of reemployment in job ceases.

MODE OF PAYMENT
For making payment of fees and banking facilitation and other service charges the applicants are required to log in through our website i.e www.nabard.org and fill up the
Format of Challan available in Payment Option. The Challan which will have 3 parts may then be printed by the applicant and submitted at any branch of State Bank of India alongwith the required amount of fees as indicated above in cash. Applicants must ensure that on deposit of money, the branch retains Bank’s copy and return the balance two copies, i.e., Applicant’s copy and NABARD’s copy to the applicant with the undernoted details :

(i) Journal number (7-10 digits) to be provided by the branch (ii) Branch name (iii)
Branch code number and (iv) Date of deposit

(ii) Fees and other charges once deposited will not be refunded under any circumstances. The payment of charges would be accepted by the bank branch only during banking hours from 15 March 2011 to 05 April 2011. No other mode of payment of application charges will be accepted. A candidate who has made the payment of charges as per the above specified procedure may thereafter apply online. Even if NABARD extends the last date of registration due to any technical reasons, the valid dates during which the charges would need to be paid in the bank branch would remain between 15 March 2011 and 05 April 2011 only.

(iii) Apart from the fees / charges prescribed above, the candidates need not pay any
additional charges to State Bank of India.

HOW TO APPLY:
The eligible applicants are required to apply only online through website www.nabard.org. No other means/ mode of application will be accepted. The application form should be filled in English only. Option for the use of Hindi language will be available for the Written Test/ Interview.

Before registering their application on the website, candidates are required to download
the format of the challan, fill it up, deposit the prescribed application fee in cash at any
branch of State Bank of India and get receipt from the branch.


SELECTION PROCEDURE

The selection will be in two stages for Development Assistant and Pharmacists:

Phase I : Paper I - Objective and Paper II - Descriptive Examination

Phase II : Interview


Written Examination Centres
The test will be held at the following centers for the vacancies in the respective States
mentioned in brackets and the address of the venue will be advised in the call letters.

Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Raipur (Chattisgarh), Jaipur (Rajasthan),
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Dehradun (Uttaranchal), Patna (Bihar), Ranchi (Jharkhand), Bhubaneshwar (Orissa), Bangalore (Karnataka), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Shillong (Meghalaya), Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), Imphal (Manipur), Chandigarh (Haryana), New Delhi (New Delhi), Kolkata (West Bengal) and Mumbai (Maharashtra).

The written test for vacancies at Regional Training Centre, Mangalore and Bolpur will be conducted at Bangalore and Kolkata respectively.
